Advantages of our Aussie Steel for builders

Steel Frames are the future of framing, everyday more homeowners are requesting steel framed homes. Steel is easy to install and easy to handle, potentially brining many on-site efficiencies all while delivering a quality product to the customer.

With steel, you can get precision and accuracy consistently, preventing lost time sorting suitable pieces of timber, less wastage and a durable straight frame that lasts!

Fast installs

Time is money. Steel frames can save time on site from initial install right through to fittings and fixtures.

Strong and durable

A house frame made from our Aussie Steel House Frames is strong and durable. They don’t warp, twist, sag or shrink.

Our frames are prefabricated offsite, improving on-site efficiency. Our steel frame solutions are efficient to work with and fast to install. They also lead to less wastage on site and can average just 2% vs 20% for timber.

Lightweight frames

Our house frames are strong and durable, but at the same time can remain up to 60% lighter than timber frames.

Make life easy

No twisting or warping

Our steel house frames won’t shrink, twist or warp over time, so there’s less chance of sticking windows, jammed doors and wavy roof lines.

Staight and true

Our engineering software and machines allows us to manufacture our frames with the highest levels of precision. Prefabricated and dimensionally accurate, our frames remain straight and true – windows and doors open and close as they should.

Flexible design

Our house frames have impressive strength-to-weight ratios, allowing you to build and design with flexibility and to keep in touch with modern design trends.

Happy Client, Happy Builder

100% termite proof

Termites and borers are a problem in Australia, affecting thousands of families. Give your clients peace of mind, build the structure with Steel – it’s 100% termite proof. Steel also avoids the use of harsh chemicals needed on timber frames.

50 year warranty

Eligible customers receive BlueScope’s 50 Year Warranty on TRUECORE Steel Products. 50 years is a long time, enough time to ensure a home is future proofed to last the test of time.

Steel is a non-combustible material, so our steel frames won’t sustain or contribute to the spread of a fire – and it wont ignite. It can be used in all Bushfire Attack Levels in the NCC (NCC 2016 BCA)

What details do I need to send for a quote?

A house plane to scale will provide most of the information required for us to provide a quotation.

Do I have design flexibility with Steel frames?

Our steel frames can produce almost any one or two storey home design seen in Australia today. Steel has a high strength to weight ratio and stay straight and true. Steel is an ideal choice for modern home design.

Are steel house frames durable?

Yes, they are. TRUECORE® steel with Activate® technology incorporates a thoroughly tested protective aluminium/zinc/magnesium alloy coating. TRUECORE’s patented Activate® coating technology is an important component of BlueScope products installed across a range of environments and building applications. Where there are cut edges from drilling or cutting operations, the galvanic action of the coating protects the exposed steel edge against corrosion.
